Aloe Vera – Is there a doctor in the House?

More than two thousand years, mankind has struggled to know all the intricacies of the aloe vera. Information found on Sumerian clay tablets dating from 2200 BC indicate the plant was used as a laxative. Archaeological excavations continue to check the growing use of the plant at that time.

Other historical findings indicate the plant was migrated to the continent to Europe and the Middle East. Increased use through the ages and evidence was found indicating the Egyptians dealt with the factory for export around 400 BC with the sap being boiled the main product. Search the Bible, you will also find "Aloe" used during this period. Jn 7:39 p.m. reading shows that when Jesus died on the cross, Nicodemus prepared the body with a mixture of myrhh and aloes, with about seventy-five pounds for the task.

The plant continued to spread throughout Asia and India and rising in other geographical locations. During this process of introducing the plant as a healing herb 'popularity has declined but never completely lost its attraction as a homeopathic remedy for many ailments and injuries. Sunburn, bee stings, scrapes and bruises: aloe vera has become a household staple in many areas for immediate treatment antiseptic and analgesic. Use for treatment was limited only on the availability of the plant.

Here we encounter the curiosity pharmaceutical industry. Although not fully accepted by the medical society the many marvels of the plant began to be seen. The gel was pressed plant for topical application for injuries became known as the source of the majority of plant attributes. The gel is now known to be composed of mono – and poly – saccharide, commonly known as sugars. These complex sugars are what is now thought to give the plant its healing powers.

Taking a little dip in the chemical composition. Our body needs amino acids for metabolism. Of the twenty required, we can produce only twelve of these if we rely on food to provide the remaining eight. Guess what? – The internal freezing of the plant aloe vera contains the eight of these acids. These eight are Leucon, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, valine and tryptophan. Recognize the last? Tryptophan is the ingredient our Thanksgiving dinner (Turkey), which acts as a natural sedative and gives us this afternoon nap!

Further investigation yields enzymes. Somewhere around eleven enzymes exist in inner gel of aloe vera is. Some would Amylase, Catalyse, lipase and oxidase. All names sounding very romantic huh? But guess what – all of these enzymes are required for proper use of the body in the method known as LIFE!

For pure boredom, we could go through the mineral content. Minerals extremely deficient in the American diet of Big Macs and Slurpees. Minerals and vitamins – again, very much needed in our daily functioning of life. And to crown this option, aloe vera contains salicylic acid, a compound that is very similar to aspirin in the chemical composition.

So we have a plant to help relieve a bee-sting. A plant that if it is used properly can act as a laxative. We can use the gel of the sap as a source of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. And we have a plant that we help to relax and snooze, even if we do not get the turkey in size!

As research has shown that the gel to be effective (in taken internally) in some treatments of heartburn, helps maintain levels of blood sugar, reducing congestion and hemorrhoids Soothing (ouch!). Big problem of domestic consumption is that the gel is extremely bitter. Gourmet horrible. It is thus necessary to mask the taste for consumption or possession of a mouth very inactive buds. Thus, between pharmaceutical companies. Large companies continue to abound when there is a dollar raise a harvest.

With industrial capacity, we can now mash, distilling, combining and mixing the plant, forming new methods delivery. There are now many products ranging from pills, capsules, lotions, creams and aerosols. Choose your method of delivery. Bee-sting? Although just "spritz" a little juice of aloe-vera about it and come back to play hopscotch. Sunburn? It's the same thing. Take a bottle of lotion and give a soothing relief throughout the body. Indigestion, heartburn, congestion, any other disease? Take a box of capsules and go on a scheme pill popping back.

It must be said here, however, that some companies made the product less if you still need to be aware of your purchase. There is enough information on the chemical makeup and forms of products that no one should be buying anything not aware of what they get. So keep your own research. Check into what can help you with your situation require a boost of aloe vera.

Oh yes – although you can buy multiple delivery systems of this product there is absolutely nothing stopping you from growing one on your windowsill in the kitchen. Still nothing more Soothing a leaf freshly rubbed off on the fingers that you just burned on hot frying pan!
